Photo Composite and Manipulation Workflow Photoshop Tutorial

Photo Composite and Manipulation Workflow Photoshop Tutorial. In this tutorial, we will try to recreate the image called juggling veggies. Not long ago I had a Photoshoot with a client that is a chef and he needed some pictures for social media and he wanted me to incorporate his heritage and love of food in some creative way. Since it's from Italy, that's why I used those three colors, and what better to represent Italy than pizza ingredients. 😄 And this is how this masterpiece came to life.

For this tutorial, we are gonna need a background, subject, picture of tomatoes, mozzarella, basil and picture of stardust, you can download your files from source files for free. Let the fun begin. 😇

Step 1
Make a new document, size 210mm by 297mm, resolution 300 pi. Go to File - Place Embedded, and upload the background layer. Add a new layer, take a soft brush the biggest size that you can (5000pix), make sure that is on white, and paint on the middle of the layer set opacity around 50%.

Step 2
Mask out your subject, you can learn how to use mask here How to Mask out an Object in Photoshop, scale your subject and place him on top of the background and new layer.

Step 3

Now we are gonna make glow in hand. Make a group and named Green glow. Add I new layer (inside of the group) set the Blending Mode on Linear Dodge, pick the bright green color (07d52a) take a soft brush, and paint over the hand. Add another layer(Blending Mode - Linear Dodge) choose a darker green color (06931f) make a brush size a little bigger and paint over the hand. Add another layer(Blending Mode - Linear Dodge) choose even darker green color (064111) make a brush size a little bigger and paint over the hand. Add a mask to the layer and whit the brush, set on black, tidy little around fingers.

Make a copy of the stardust layer and place it between the hands and the new glow that we made for basil.  Add a layer mask and neat little around the fingers.

Step 5
Now we are going to do the same steps on the other hand, but instead green color we are using red color. Make a group and named Red glow. Add I new layer (inside of the group) set the Blending Mode on Linear Dodge, pick the bright red color (e41515) take a soft brush, and paint over the hand. Add another layer (Blending Mode - Linear Dodge) choose a darker red color (790707) make a brush size a little bigger and paint over the hand. Add another layer (Blending Mode - Linear Dodge) choose an even darker red color (3b0303) make a brush size a little bigger and paint over the hand. Add a mask to the layer and whit the brush, set on black, tidy little around fingers.
